Getting married is a red-letter day, not just for the bride and groom. It is often the culmination of a great deal of planning and thought by family and friends too and can be an exciting and emotional time. The music you choose for your ceremony can capture this special atmosphere. Music is traditionally played at key points in the wedding service in churches:

• As the bride enters the church
• During the signing of the register
• As the couple leave the church to start their new life together.

For civil ceremonies, there are similar opportunities where music can provide a beautiful backdrop of sound for moments that you will remember forever. The music you choose is like the soundtrack to a film: when ever you hear it again it will bring pictures of your wedding day to mind.

The Company of Musicians is dedicated to finding the classical music to enhance your experience. Professional resources are at your disposal to provide repertoire to cheer, thrill and inspire, from exultant baroque marches and overtures to romantic and meditative interludes. If you know what you want, we will find it. If you’re not sure, we will consult with you and using our experience and knowledge help you decide.  This might involve sample sessions or advice on recordings to listen to, to get ideas. If a soloist is going to play a key role in the ceremony, you will be able to meet in advance and discuss everything from dress code to Debussy!

Size doesn’t matter: However large or small your celebration, whether it’s in a castle, a church, a hotel, a marquee or your garden, whether it’s a civil or a religious ceremony, we can provide musicians to enhance it.
